A drug-pushing pensioner, who turned to crime at the age of 68 for just pounds100, has been jailed for two years. Exeter Crown Court was told that Michael Willis was caught with more than pounds20,000 of amphetamine and 5,000 pills which, had they been genuine Ecstasy tablets and not worthless fakes, would have been worth a further pounds20,000.

Dave Bowen, prosecuting, said Willis was stopped in his car at South Molton and the drugs were found in the sleeves of a jacket in the vehicle. There were 2,063 grams of amphetamine in one sleeve and the 5,000 tablets in the other.
