This October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a crucial time of year to put this disease on the public agenda. As someone who has experienced breast cancer first-hand, I wanted to use this opportunity to inform women to learn more about the disease and help beat breast cancer for good.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK with nearly 46,000 women diagnosed every year. Most cases of breast cancer are found by women noticing unusual changes, taking the initiative and visiting their doctor. The earlier breast cancer is found, the better the chances of beating it - so you can see how important it is to make regular checks.
