As an enthusiast of the "great outdoors" myself, I would like to invite readers to take part in the first ever Big Spring Walk for Help the Aged which takes place over the weekend of April 28-29. The fundraising walk is a wonderful idea which will see people across the country organising their own walking event with friends and family to raise money for the charity to help disadvantaged older people avoid the misery of poverty, isolation and neglect.
Walking is like dancing, it's one of the easiest and most effective ways of keeping fit and making friends for people of all ages. The great thing is you don't need any special equipment to take part - you can walk anytime, anyplace, anywhere! You can walk on your own or with a group of people - the choice is yours.
